The law gives light.
“So he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.”
“And as soon as he came near the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, Moses’ anger burned hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.”
Idols again! This infamous story of the golden calf begins on a very human level…
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who lived in a land of deep darkness – on them light has shined.
Silence will speak more to you in a day than the world of voices can teach you in a lifetime.
Let us therefore so travail to understand the Lord’s supper that we be no cause of the decay of God’s worship…
